Born in New Westminster, British Columbia,  Wayne retired as a Social Worker in 2003 and started painting in 2006.  He is self-taught working in oil and acrylics.  His landscapes come from memories of living in Southern Alberta with the big skies.  Wayne likes to go in another direction at times with his abstract paiintigs influenced by Jackson Pollock and Mark Rothko.  Wayne lives in the mountains South of Golden, British Columbia where he writes poetry when he needs a rest from painting.
